Moonee Valley Fillies Classic – 2022

Track: Heavy Weather: Overcast

The fillies do battle with little separating them in the market. Do It La brings some class to the field and will be hard to beat from the nice draw. Hell Hath No Fury is a work in progress and having a good prep. Barrier 4 and J-Mac are both positives for it. Climbing Star was impressive on debut and can measure up here while Bonheur is good enough to figure in the finish. There should be good tempo engaged.

1. Zoe’s Promise (8)

Won well last start when specked in the market. Harder here but just has to bring that effort to go close and Alana Kelly sticks in the saddle.

2. Do It La (5)

Hardest to beat in this field bringing in the class and the right ratings. Nolen has options from the draw and it has already seen the track. Current favourite and should be well tried right up until jump. On top in this.

3. Vagrant (12)

Didn’t have much luck last run so being drawn wide might not be a negative. Allen sticks and he will be looking to atone. Top 4 player.

4. Bonheur (11)

Nash sticks on Bonheur. He rode it well last start and just needs a pinch of luck from the draw to be in the finish. Should be suited back onto drier ground and the form around Boogie Dancer reads well.

5. Hell Hath No Fury (4)

Going along well this prep and now gets barrier 4 and J-Mac which is a huge boost to its chances. Hit the line hard behind Waltz On By last run at a big price and if it can replicate that effort it will be going close.

6. She’s Pretty Rich (6)

No luck last run and now draws to get a nice run in transit. Higgins sticks and this race is within reach. Keep safe.

7. Climbing Star (1)

Well backed on debut and was a very strong winner over a handy galloper. Can certainly measure up here and didn’t seem to get out of second gear. Can give this race a shake.

8. Starianne (10)

Due for easier and placed here so has to be respected off that. Yet to break maiden so interesting to see what the market does. Respect any moves.

9. Booboo Boogie (9)

Can’t have.

10. Zest For Life (2)

Prefer others.

11. Bramble (3)  – SCRATCHED

12. Queen Air (7)

Was okay last run but this is a decent step up in grade. Respect any market moves but prefer others.
