Track: Heavy Weather: Overcast

A cracking race where I have Sweet Ride & Kings Consort on top. Sweet Ride rates well against this lot, flies over this trip and simply brings the best form to the table. Hard to knock Shalailed who is racing well and maps nicely for Nash Rawiller. The best version of Sejardan would take this out while Great Barrier Reef brings in form around Giga Kick, The Tab Everest winner. Kings Consort is overlooked in early markets boasting a 3rd to subsequent Group 1 winner Golden Mile.

1. Sejardan (1)

Has been mixing form so it is hard to know where it is at. Kah steers from the nice draw and it should be suited on dry ground. The market is key.

2. Sweet Ride (10)

Really hard to beat here with any luck from the draw. The form around Best Of Bordeaux and In Secret reads superior of this bunch and an aggressive ride can see it take the front and prove hard to get past. The $4.40 is a good price.

3. Crosswinds (2)

Wouldn’t shock at all here. 2/2 with Zahara aboard and has won at its only attempt on this track. From barrier 2 Crosswinds only runs well and is over the odds at $19.00

4. Kings Consort (6)

Kings Consort has been completely left out at $34.00. It boasts a 3rd to group 1 winner Golden Mile and 2 second placings to Quang Tri who returned with a dominant win last Saturday. That form reads well and it should get a nice tow into the race from the draw. Currently well over the odds.

5. Shalaman (14)

Going well but was poor last run. Deep into the prep is the query here, monitor the market.

6. Shalailed (5)

Maps well and should get the run of the race from the draw. Beaten by Grand Impact who does look above average however that was on very heavy ground. Hard to beat but looks short enough and I am leaning to others who bring in better form.

7. Boldinho (9)

Having a great prep and has come on from the spell. A lot harder here and the map is a query but it can run into the top 4 with even luck and a good steer.

8. Atlantic Ocean (12)

Not hopeless after winning well last start. The amount of improvement off the run is key to its chances.

9.Great Barrier Reef (8)

Has to be a massive chance after running well behind Giga Kick last start. That horse went on to win the Tab Everest so the form reads better than anything. J-Mac does the steering and scratched from an easier race Friday night and saved for this. Keep very safe.

10. Redzoust (11)

Can’t have.

11. O’tycoon (7)  – SCRATCHED

12. Dakarai (4)

This looks too tough.

13. Mr Tickles (3)

Won well last start and maps nicely. Going okay but prefer others on form.

14. Sojustkoby (13)

Has good upside but prefer in something easier.
