2022 Listed Mick Dittman Plate Race Details
Race 7 at Doomben Racrcourse on Saturday 23rd April 2022.
The 2022 XXXX Listed Mick Dittman Plate is held at the Doomben Racecourse and is run over 1110 metres. It is for the 3-year-olds and is run under quality handicap conditions. It is one of the feature races of the day run by the Brisbane Racing Club. The total prize money is $130,000.

2022 Listed Mick Dittman Plate Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
A race over 1110 metres that shapes up to be a competitive one and has a strong lineup engaged where Ingratiating sees a drastic drop in grade and should be going very close with some strong Melbourne form. Prince Of Boom has been on a winning streak and is very hard to knock while Startantes absolutely loves racing at Doomben and is sure to be around the finish.

1. Shaquero (3)
Best value chance in the race given the draw, map, and form lines around some extremely handy types. The $26 is big and Shaquero demands plenty of respect in this.
2. Ingratiating (9)
Any luck from the draw and looks the one to beat in this. Form around the likes of Marabi and Marine One is very strong, Ingratiating just has to handle the track which is the slight query.
3. Alpine Edge (5)
Unbeaten fresh and has class. Known to carry weight, maps well, very likeable.
4. Prince Of Boom (2)
Flying at the moment although this is quite a step up in grade. Does no work from the draw and gets the services of Orman but does look a shade under the odds despite being hard to beat.
5. Dragonstone (8)
No jockey engaged but does have likeable form. Awkward gate but can be in the finish.
6. Rubiquitous (7)
Knockout hope, I couldn’t fit it in my numbers.
7. Startantes (13)
4 wins from 5 goes at Doomben so clearly has a massive liking for the track and Marshall. Super honest and in the mix.
8. Glistening (4)
Ran very well first up and maps kindly from barrier 4. Strong chance against these.
9. Miss Hipstar (6)
Not the worst Miss Hipstar. She has plenty of talent, gets in light and maps okay. Wouldn’t completely shock despite the big odds at the moment.
10. Stellar Magic (1)
Flies fresh and does no work from the draw so the claims are strong and if the market agrees, it looks a sound each way bet.
11. A Very Fine Red (16)
Had excuses last run and can certainly give this a shake despite the awkward gate. Likeable form lines from last prep and looks over the odds.
12. Joyous Legend (12)
Should be improving second up however this does look slightly out of depth. I would want to see a market push before considering.
13. Putontheredlight (10)
Can give this a shake and does enjoy racing at Doomben. The map looks awkward but the claims are strong in this field and Thornton knows the horse very well.
14. In The Blink (15)
Can’t have.
