Third favouritism is shared between Mood Swings who ran 3rd in the Bunbury Stakes after leading most of the way, and Weaponson who finished 4th after being held-up. River Rubicon finished 6th in the Bunbury Stakes, while Multinational was a disappointing 13th after being well-supported in the betting. The other runners are currently $12 or longer.

The only mare in the race. Finished 3rd in this race in 2022. Resumes after 14 weeks and is a Group 3 winner.

2. River Rubicon (9)

Won first-up over 1300m at Pinjarra, then finished 6th in the Listed Bunbury Stakes over 1400m at Bunbury on 9th February after winding up gamely from well back in the field.

3. Mojo Rhythm (4)

Raced wide without cover when 5th in the Bunbury Stakes. Won at his only previous start at this track and distance combination beating Alsephina in the Group 3 R J Peters Stakes back in November. Strong chance.

4. Cheval De Vaga (3)

This 8YO is the oldest runner in the race this year. Slipped at the start of the Bunbury Stakes and blew his chances. Prefer to see.

5. Crescent City (5)

Has struggled in both runs this preparation. Wait for him to improve.

6. Mood Swings (2)

Ran 3rd in the Bunbury Stakes after leading most of the way. Can place here.

7. Multinational (1)

Was a disappointing 13th in the Bunbury Stakes after being well-supported in the betting. Prefer others.

8. Red Fifty Three (8)

Ran 2nd in the Bunbury Stakes and has won at this track before. One of the main chances.

9. Weaponson (6)

Finished 4th in the Bunbury Stakes after being held-up. Can improve on that.
