How to pick a winner

Gold Coast Pink Ribbon Cup 2022 Preview

Track: Soft Weather: Fine

A solid contest over the 1300 with the market being headed by Me Me Lagarde who has a booming turn of foot and will be pouncing on them late. Vaccine continues to win and hails from the strong yard while Tara Jasmine maps for a nice run and can be stalking the speed. Expecting a solid tempo with a few of these going forward.

Gold Coast Pink Ribbon Cup 2022 Runner by Runner

1. Me Me Lagarde (10)

Quality galloper who is on 3 wins from 6 career starts. Takes a little while to wind up so Fradd will just need to find some cover early and the horse can do the rest. Huge winning chance in this, deserves to be favourite.

2. Tara Jasmine (2)

Tara Jasmine 2/3 with Harrison aboard and has a booming turn of foot. She has shook of the tag of only being able to win at Grafton and is 4/8 over this trip. Can win.

3. Miss Divine Em (5)

Mixes form and can be tricky to catch however this race is within reach and it has been well backed in early markets. Keep safe.

4. Leave Me Some (8)

Prefer others.

5. Cold Hard Fact (4)

Prefer in something easier.

6. Better Get Set (3)

Goes well fresh and has some excellent form lines around the likes of Boomnova. That should see Better Get Set going close in this.

7. Jubai Pride (9)

Jubai Pride has a solid third up record. It looks primed to peak in this and only needs luck from the draw to be a major player in this field.

8. Queen Of Dubai (7)

Certainly has the right form, the market should tell here but the trials have been rock solid. Has won first up in the past and has to be kept safe.

9. Vaccine (1)

Vaccine has been extremely well. Barrier 1 doesn’t suit its running pattern so Thompson will need to find some gaps along the rail. With just 52kgs on its back it should take plenty of holding out.

10. Hakkai Maru (6)

Resumed in super style. Already a 2nd up winner, it maps nicely and strikes a race where some of these mix their form. On 3 career wins from 5 starts and can add to that tally here.
