Exford Plate – 2022

Track: Soft Weather: Fine

A few exciting gallopers in this out. Foujita San didn’t have much go right fresh but finds the right race to bounce back in. Osipenko brings in some superb form and will take holding out from the draw. Likewise for Basquiat who gets the services of Tim Clark and should be landing right on the speed. Tempo should be strong.

1. Let’srollthedice (1)

Dangerous at odds after a strong return. Has won on this track and just needs luck from barrier 1 to be fighting out the finish.

2. Maximillius (4)

Prefer others.

3. Tijuana (11)

Did well last start when not heaps went right. Can give this a shake.

4. Fast Witness (10)

Outstanding win last start when steaming over the top of them late. Fast Witness has an excellent turn of foot and can give this a shake.

5. He’s Heaven (5)

Brings in some handy form and Nolen maps nicely from the draw. Expect a bold run in this field. Place chance.

6. Berkeley Square (16)

Good win last start and has the runs on the board on this track. Williams will need to be good from the draw but its a top 4 contender.

7. Osipenko (15)

Went down as a short favourite to Kibou which is certainly nothing to lost admirers over. Melham will need to be very good from the draw but overall this is a winnable race.

8. Basquiat (9)

Seems big odds with the right form coming into this race. Return was good and Tim Clark should plonk it right on the speed.

9. Nothern Beaches (14)

Won well fresh after a few luckless runs last prep. Harder here but on the up and must be respected from an astute camp.

10. Ringmaster (8)

Not too bad last run in a hot race. The map and Damien Oliver aboard are my 2 queries however overall this is a suitable race and the NSW form should stand up. Good chance at odds.

11. Foujita San (7)

Bottled the start last run and didn’t have much go right. Smart galloper that will need to be jumping clean against this lot but is every chance of bouncing back in this field. Have it on top against this bunch and expect it to be going close.

12. Superset (6)

Prefer others.

13. Elliptical (2)

Beat Dashing on debut who has since come out and won in very good fashion. Maps kindly and jumping out well. Big hope at odds.

14. Cadazio (13)

Did the job fresh and can go on with things here. I have my doubts about the form of the race but the win was convincing and the stable aren’t mucking about with Jamie Kah booked.

15. Who Dares (12)

Racing well but sees a big leap in grade here. Prefer others.

16. Social Conscience (3)

Can’t have.
