It was first held as a Listed race over 1400m in 2009 and was won by the Tony Vasil trained horse Carrera, ridden by Craig Williams.

It has been known by various names including Henry Bucks Best Dressed Stakes, Living Legends Stakes, Pin & Win Stakes, Starlight Express Room Stakes, Pin & Win Plate and Antler Luggage Plate.

2018 winner Brutal went on to win a Doncaster.
