Eureka Stud Classic 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Comrade Rosa has been well tried in early markets and should take beating in this field. Maps well from the kind draw and has Maloney sticking. Hard to beat. Eagle Nest defied a betting drift last run to win well and can add to the picket fence. Ekaterina has had a great prep and can continue the good run. Extremist goes in the mix and this race suits.

Should prove very tough to beat in this. Good first up effort and form lines read very well for a race of this depth. Ideal draw and gun jockey aboard. Hard to beat.
2. Extremist (9)
Finished 3rd i this race last year. Having a good prep and can go right on with things here. Tricky draw but winnable race and looks the right price.
3. Better Get Set (3)
Can’t have.
4. Ekaterina (8)
Having a great prep with 2 wins from 3 starts. Harder here but is on the upward spiral and Rodd is a key booking. Goes in the mix.
5. Eagle Nest (6)
This race is within reach. Has the right running pattern and overcame a betting drift to score last start. Goes in the mix.
6. Aureus Angel (10)
Has had a stack of early market support and just has to overcome barrier 10 give this a shake. Goes in the mix.
7. Winside (1)
Far from the worst. 2 pass marks so far and should be running on strongly. Is also capable of leading from the barrier. Chance.
8. Chatty Lady (12)
Prefer others.
9. Self Indulgent (5)
Prefer in something easier.
10. Glorious Ruby (7)
Prefer others.
11. Deep Rouge (11)
Has been around the mark this prep and just needs luck from the gate. Can win.
12. Compassionate (2)
Racing in superb fashion and will get a lovely tow into the race from barrier 2. More than capable of winning.
