A competitive field with Persan leading the market who led them from start to finish last time out and is poised to score again. Regal Lion is ready to peak here and should enjoy the services of Jamie Kah. Sound mixes its form but should relish the trip. Nobel Heights was good behind Persan last start with a gap to the rest of the field but will need luck from the draw and Team Captain is building up to a win and can give this a race a shake. The tempo is predicted to be slow with little speed in the race.

1. Persan (5)

Led them up last start and proved too strong. Meets a similar field here and should get a nice run from the draw. Heavily backed in early markets with good reason and will take some holding out against this lot. Goes on top.

2. Sound (1)

Loves this trip and should do no work from the draw but well and truly overdue for a win. Finds the right barrier and race but hard to trust.

3. Regal Lion (12)

Ready to peak in this and should enjoy the services of Jamie Kah. Barrier 12 is a bit sticky but should have plenty of time to slot into a position and give this race a shake. The price is solid enough.

4. San Huberto (11)

Racing okay without threatening and Ethan Brown is in really good form. This race is within reach but will need some luck from barrier 11. Top 4 chance.

5. Team Captain (6)

Liked the last start effort of Team Captain who should be able to give this a shake. Suited by the trip and brings in the right form, looks back on track off last run and should go well in this.

6. Nobel Heights (9)

Excellent behind Persan and that looks the right form for the race. Barrier 9 poses a few queries but if Bates can get Nobel Heights into a good spot it is a great winning chance.

7. Vegas Knight (3)

Racing well with our winning but a very hard horse to catch with the 4 wins from 40 starts. Should be around the mark.

8. Station One (10)

Can’t have.

9. Protection Money (4)

Love the form around White Marlin. That kind of form should giver this a shake.

10. True Marvel (2)

Needs to lift on form. Like others at this stage.

11. Winifer (8)

Can’t have.

12. Inayforhay (7)

Prefer in easier.
