Track: Good Weather: Good

A very wide open race with a quality field engaged. Juan Diva is favourite in the early markets and ready to win coming off back to back placings. Kiku is hard to catch but best efforts would give this a shake. Sneaky Five was excellent winning for us at good odds last start and with luck from the draw can repeat things here while Miss Hipstar demands respect launching from the kind draw. Forget it went around last start as it was caught wide without cover.

1. Kiku (10)

Hard to catch but a capable galloper on its day. James McDonald should give the horse every chance despite the wide draw and he has a sensational record aboard. The market should be a good guide late.

2. Juan Diva (7)

Hard to knock the form of Juan Diva, it has just bumped into one better its past 2 starts. That being said, it is becoming costly enough for punters and will be hard to trust after if it can’t put this race away. Well placed and hard to beat but short enough.

3. Sneaky Five (15)

Love the way Sneaky Five has returned and it looks well placed against this lot despite the wide draw. Got a little bit lucky winning last start with the runner up being stiff but I trust the form and Ben Thompson to weave a path from the draw.

4. Najmaty (13)

Needs to lift and hasn’t found form in QLD. Would like to see more before considering.

5. Salateen (3)

Won this race last year. Far from hopeless in this from the plum draw. Absolutely loves racing here with 3 wins from 4 starts, flies 4th up and this race is within reach. Best chance at odds.

6. Centrefire (11)

Prefer others.

7. Sneaky Paige (9)

Hoped for a little more last start in NSW. This race isn’t much harder and KWT is in very good form. Keep safe against this lot and the market should be a good guide late.

8. Barossa Rosa (12)

Excellent win last start. A little harder here and now needs to navigate from the wide draw but the booking of Jim Bryne is eye catching. Top 4 hope.

9. Miss Hipstar (2)

Like the chances of Miss Hipstar in this. Forget last run when caught wide, she should get a dream run in transit here and has come back well this prep. Right up to these and is big odds.

10. Euro Belle (1)

Prefer others given the pattern of Euro Belle, it’ll get back and be cluttered on the fence.

11. Glorious Ruby (14)

Won last start subject to a good betting plunge. Can give this a crack if it has some luck from the draw.

12. Enterprise Pomme (5)

Going just fair without winning. Needs to see it find the placings more this prep before considering. Leaning to others.

13. Miss Barty (8)

Can’t have.

14. Single Dizire (6)

Prefer in an easier race.

15. La Soeur (4)

Not in this.
