Atlantic Jewel Stakes – 2022

Track: Soft Weather: Fine

An exciting race where Lady Laguna looks nicely placed. Returned well without much luck and comes from the very in form stable. I’mlovin’ya will appreciate the rise in trip and will be hitting the line hard while Queen Of The Ball should be suited by the tight Moonee Valley track and can lead these up. Expecting a solid tempo with a few of these mapping to go forward. Wide open race.

1. Revolutionary Miss (4)

Can surprise there and has form around Jacquinot which reads nicely. Barrier 4 and Jye Mcneil, great chance at odds.

2. Queen Of The Ball (14)

Has the right running pattern and if Queen Of The Ball can get to the front she will be hard to run down on the tight track. Goes close in this field.

3. I’mlovin’ya (3)

Should be going close after an excellent return. Damian Lane steers from barrier 3, just needs to be within striking range given the short Moonee Valley straight holds no prisoners. Was a winner 2nd up last prep and this race is suitable.

4. Lady Laguna (10)

Can lob somewhere near the speed and give this a shake. The form is right for this race, Lady Laguna is a 2nd up winner and has no problems on soft footing. Hard to beat.

5. Boogie Dancer (9)

Continues to win and while this is a rise in grade, you can’t knock the winning form. Nolen will need a little luck early on as a few of these will be going forward but if he can land Boogie Dancer into a good spot it can win.

6. Troach (5)

Love the way Troach is going a long this prep and this is a suitable race. Williams get a nice draw and Troach maps better than most of its rivals. I like the form and it looks a huge chance in this field.

7. Mumbai Jewel (1)

Prefer others.

8. Clarity (13)

Good debut win. This is an enormous leap in grade but you have to respect the placement. Monitor any market moves

9. Nanagui (15)

Won very well fresh and Kah is in the saddle. Decent leap in grade here however I was impressed with the win visually to the eye and this race is within reach.

10. Va Via (12)

Thought it was a poor steer on Va Via, it should have gone very close last run. Oliver sticks and I’m not convinced barrier 12 or the track suits. Prefer others.

11. Waverider Buoy (17)

Creates interest with some good form lines however the map is very sticky. Prefer others.

12. Berry Bubbly (6)

Ripped home last run and far from hopeless here at odds. Stepping up in trip should suit and I have it quoted half its current price. Over the odds.

13. Portray (7)

Continues to run well. Childs is 2/2 aboard and this is a winnable race. Keep an eye on any market moves.

14. Street Delight (8)

Prefer others.

15. Denied (16)

Returned well but does see a decent leap in depth here. Barrier 16 will not be easy but with the right steer Denied can be hitting the line hard. Respect any market moves.

16. Hell Hath No Fury (2)

Prefer others.

17. Typhoon Titmus (11)

Prefer in something easier.
