Track: Soft Weather: Fine

Cracking race that sees Mr Brightside look to back things up after winning fresh. It won’t be a walk in the park with a strong challenge to be set from dangers Earlswood who has an excellent fresh record and gets Damian Lane sticking for the ride. Inspirational Girl was a little hit and miss last prep but got the scalp of Zaaki and is just hoping the track isn’t too wet. Forgot You is 3/3 at the Valley and can be pouncing on them late. The tempo should be solid.

1. Spanish Mission (6)

Resuming and should be suited over further. Yet to win from 5 fresh runs and 1600 is well short of its usual trip. Has class but is one to keep an eye on later on in the prep.

2. Mr Brightside (5)

Looks primed for the win in this with half of these being stayers resuming. Excellent ride and win upon resumption, 1/1 at the track and flies over the 1600, Mr Brightside ticks boxes and should take a power of beating against this lot.

3. Sound (3)

Can’t have.

4. Earlswood (1)

Resumed and looks the main danger to the favourite with a strong first up record snd Damian Lane retaining the ride. Barrier 1 might be slightly awkward but the small field helps and may not cause too many issues. Top 3 player.

5. Forgot You (4)

Unbeaten at the Valley and maps for the right run in transit. Daniel Moor is 3/8 aboard, the knock is the first up record. Forgot You generally improves with a run under the belt. Can win fresh but prefer others, keep an eye on the market.

6. Inspirational Girl (2)

Knocked over Zaaki last prep and then said horse early turned the tables. 4 from 6 over this trip and 2 wins from 5 attempts first up. In a field where a few of these are stayers resuming, Inspirational Girl can give a great sight.
