Shamaton ticks plenty of boxes in this race. Jamie Kah is a handy booking but its worth noting Shamaton is unbeaten 4th up and unbeaten over this track and trip. Needs a little luck from the draw but very likeable at the price.

Major player in the Stradbroke later in the year so she should really be putting these away. No favours from the draw but has an enormous class edge on this field and the $3.00 just looks considerable overs on that basis.

20 starts for 3 wins, Palladas has been very tricky to catch throughout its career and always gets well supported in betting. Has ability but is one of those horses that tends to find trouble more often than not and I am surprised it has opened favourite in this competitive race.
