Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for the New Year’s Day meeting. The feature race is the Group 2 Perth Cup (race 9).
Beret (Ascot Race 8 No. 4)
Beret is a track specialist and has won her last three starts in a row. This five-year-old Helmet mare trained by Adam Durrant won over 1400m at Ascot on 27 November, then won the Listed Starstruck Classic by 0.8 length over 1600m at Ascot on 18 December. She goes well at this track and is the top pick in the Group 3 La Trice Classic.

Ginger Flyer (Ascot Race 7 No. 4):
This five-year-old Gingerbread Man mare trained by Simon Miller has five wins and 10 places from 19 starts and hasn’t finished further back than 4th in eight races this campaign. She just missed the placings when 3.7 lengths 4th over 1600m at Ascot on 20 November, then ran 3.5 lengths 3rd over 1500m at Ascot on 11 December. Gets a 3kg claim and looks a great each-way chance.

Miss Vasari (Ascot Race 5 No. 7):
This four-year-old Rogano mare trained by Daniel Morton has three wins and two places from 10 starts and is the early favourite in this One Metro Win Graduation Handicap over 1400m. She was a 0.7 length winner over 1200m at Ascot on 4 December, then faded to finish 0.4 length 6th over 1200m at Ascot on 18 December. She hasn’t won beyond 1200m and rises in weight. Willing to risk her here.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 28th April 2024
Key Comments 8 race card with a few short favourites that look hard to beat. The best bet comes up in race 5 and is knocking on the door for a win. Best Bet Subrising (Ballarat Race 5 No. 6) Comes off the back of 2 second placings and Egan will ride from the wide draw. A lot to like about the past few runs and looks a better hope than the favourite who may just get too far back in this.
Horse Racing Tips: NSW Sunday 28th April 2024
Key Comments 7 race card with a heavy 10 track at the time of writing so the meeting may or may not go ahead. The best bet is in the first and has the leading country jockey doing the steering. Best Bet Oakfield Peewee (Taree Race 1 No. 1) Can kick off the day a winner. Bullock rides from barrier 12 and hasn't been far away in all three runs to date. Looks suited jumping up in trip and is the logical winner

Key Comments An 9 race meeting on the synthetic Poly Track where the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Pernell (Gold Coast Poly Race 8 No. 1) On a 7 day back-up after a win at this track and distance. Races really well on the poly track. Goes up in weight but can win again. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Greyzous (Gold Coast Poly Race 6 No. 12) This filly

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet is in the last and is a progressive type looking to notch up another win. Best Bet Code In Time (Kembla Grange Race 8 No. 2) Has been progressive this prep with 2 strong wins. Strikes a similar race and maps well. No reason why it can't win again taking the leap in grade. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Eye
