Winx Guineas 2024 Preview
Track: Heavy 9 Weather: Showers
There are 11 three-year-olds for the 2024 Double R Group Winx Guineas with 8 geldings and 3 fillies. Four runners had their last start over 1350m at Ipswich on 22 June (won by Hedged) and two in the Group 3 Gunsynd Classic over 1600m at Eagle Farm on 15th June (won by Bases Loaded), while the rest came via different races. Two runners are sired by Zoustar.
The early favourite is Know Thyself who won by over 5 lengths on a heavy track over 1400m at Rosehill on 15th June. Second favourite is Xidaki who was a close runner-up over 1400m at Randwick on 8th June on heavy going. Third favourite is Cifrado who was 2nd behind Hedged at Ipswich last start on 19 June. Miss Aria finished 4th in that race. The other runners are currently $16 or more.

Was a close runner-up over 1400m at Randwick on 8th June on heavy going. Has won a trial since then and can be in the finish.

Never in it when resuming. Has ability. Place chance.

Prefer others.

Won by over 5 lengths on a heavy track over 1400m at Rosehill on 15th June. Winning chance.

Ran on well from too far back in the Group 3 Gunsynd Classic over 1600m at Eagle Farm on 15th June. Not the worst.

Broke his maiden at this track and trip last start. This is much harder.

Big win at Kilcoy last start. Has won 2 of his last 3 and could surprise.
9. Miss Aria (11)
Won 2 in a row in Melbourne before 4th behind Hedged at Ipswich. Place chance.
10. Ringer’s Reward (2)
Looks tested.
11. Dangerous Liaisons (8)
Raced well in New Zealand. Had a 6 week let-up before 12th of 17 in the Gunsynd Classic. Rough place chance.
