There are 10 fillies lining up for the 2024 Drummond Golf WA Oaks. Six of them had their last start in the Listed Natasha Stakes over 2200m at Ascot on 16th March and two in a 2YO & 3YO 0MWLY race over 1600m at Belmont on 20th March while the other 2 came via different races. Trainer Grant & Alana Williams have 2 runners.

The early favourite is Natasha Stakes winner Own The Queen who has won 4 of her 5 starts. Second favourite is Miss Skyhigh who ran 4th in the Natasha Third favourite is Starating who chased gamely for 2nd in the Natasha after being inconvenienced at the start. Kinellins Legacy was 1.3 lengths 3rd in the Natasha, while Queen Nardi ran on well late for 4th over 1600m at Belmont last start and was looking for longer. The other runners are currently $20 or longer.

1. Own The Queen (9)

This Awesome Rock filly has won 4 of her 5 starts including the Listed 1000 Guineas over 1800m at Ascot on 2nd March and the Listed Natasha Stakes over 2200m at Ascot on 16th March. She should be very hard to beat and deserves to win.

2. Starating (8)

Chased gamely for 0.8 length 2nd in the Natasha after being inconvenienced at the start, and ran 3rd in the 1000 Guineas the start before. Chance.

3. Queen Nardi (3)

Ran on well late for 4th over 1600m at Belmont last start and was looking for longer. Has 3 wins and 2 places from her 10 starts and is in the mix.

4. Miss Skyhigh (2)

Ran 4th in the Natasha after 2nd in the 1000 Guineas the start before. Hasn’t finished worse than 4th in her 5 starts. Will go well.

5. Kinellins Legacy (6)

Was 1.3 lengths 3rd in the Natasha and 3 starts back was a 4.5 length winner over 2200m at Belmont. Could surprise.

6. Warralea Lass (1)

Still a maiden after 8 starts. Seems unlikely.

7. Guess Who’s Back (7)

Ran 7th in the Natasha and is still a maiden after 10 starts. Prefer in something easier.

8. Super Queen (10)

Grinded away for 5th over 2000m at Pinjarra last start. This looks too hard.

9. She’s Perfection (4)

Finished 6th in the Natasha after 6th in the 1000 Guineas. Unlikely.

10. Flash Of Dallas (5)

Finished strongly for 1.2 lengths 4th over 1600m at Belmont on 13th March at only her 2nd start. Not the worst.
