The Brisbane Handicap is a 1600 metre quality handicap race run by the Brisbane Racing Club at Doomben. Traditionally held in December it was moved to September in 2020 and is the feature event of the program.

Brisbane Handicap 2020 Preview

There are 11 runners for the $125,000 Brisbane Handicap and eight of them had their last start at Eagle Farm on 29 August, but in four different races. The early favourite is six-year-old mare Toryjoy who ran 4th in the Listed Rowley Mile at Hawkesbury last start, less than a length behind the winner. Second favourite is Supergiant who resumed for 8th over 1400m at Eagle Farm, but goes well second-up. Third favourite is Skate to Paris who has two wins and a close 2nd from her last three starts.
Kaonic won over 1825m at Eagle Farm last start. One for Betty has two wins and a place from her last three starts, while Junction has three wins from his past four starts. Barefoot has two wins from eight races this campaign. while Articus is unplaced in all seven runs this time in. The other three runners are currently 20 to 1 or longer.
