Our Rosehill Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The Lord Mayor’s Cup is race 7.

Blondeau (Rosehill Race 4 No. 6)
This three-year-old I Am Invincible gelding trained by Chris Waller has three wins and four place from 13 starts. He was looking for a run straightening and kept chasing for 1.3 lengths 4th over 1600m at Randwick on 6 February then was spelled for 13 weeks. On resuming he raced away for a 3.24 length win over 1200m at Gosford on 8 May, with the best overall race sectionals. He should be hard to beat.

Polly Grey (Rosehill Race 7 No. 2):
This six-year-old Azamour mare has eight wins and eight places from 30 starts, and has two wins from five runs this campaign. She was crowded and hampered on the home turn and held up in the straight before running on for 2 lengths 4th in the Group 3 JRA Plate over 2000m at Randwick on 24 April, then found the front at the 150m and kept going for a 0.68 length win on soft going in the Listed Gosford Gold Cup over 2100m on 8 May. She looks a good each-way bet.

Patino Ruby (Rosehill Race 1 No. 7):
This three-year-old More Than Ready filly trained by Brett Cavanough at Scone is the early favourite in the Highway Class 3 handicap over 1200m. At her second start she won a 3YO maiden plate by 0.92 length over 1000m at Muswellbrook on 3 November, then had a 15 week spell before winning by 2.1 lengths over 900m at Scone on 16 February. She resumes here from a 13 week break and is up against experienced horses. Willing to risk her.

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
