Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Race 8 is the Group 1 $1,000,000 Railway Stakes, race 6 is the Group 2 WA Guineas, race 4 is the Listed Placid Ark Stakes, race 7 is the Listed Jungle Mist Classic and race 9 is the listed Carbine Club of WA Stakes.

Western Empire (Ascot Race 5 No. 12)
This three-year-old gelding has only had two starts and has placed both times. He debuted for 0.05, 4.14 lengths over 1100m at Northam on 25 October, then kept finding for a close 2nd in the Listed Fairetha Stakes over 1400m at Ascot on 7 November. With William Pike riding and Grant and Alana Williams training he looks ready for his first win.

Each Way

Magical Dream (Ascot Race 6 No. 12):

This Dream Ahead filly has had three wins and a place from five starts. She was well back and ran on out wide for 0.4, 2.09 lengths 3rd in the Listed Burgess Queen Stakes over 1400m at Ascot on 3 November, then came from last to finish 1.95 lengths 6th in the Group 3 WA Champion Fillies Stakes over 1600m at Ascot on 14 November. Her final 400m sectional was very good and she looks worth an each-way bet here.

Best Lay

Flower Of War (Ascot Race 7 No. 1):
This five-year-old War Chant mare is the early favourite in the Listed Jungle Mist Classic over 1200m. She faded for 2.71 lengths 7th in the Listed RS Crawford Stakes over 1000m at Ascot on 17 October, then battled evenly for 2.5 lengths 8th in the Group 3 Prince Of Wales Stakes over 1000m at Ascot on 31 October. She does not seem to have found the form of previous campaigns and others offer greater value.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments First day of the Grafton Carnival. The feature race is the Ramornie Handicap (race 7). The best bet also comes up in that race and is a proven classy performer who comes off a luckless second placing. Best Bet Pereille (Grafton Race 7 No. 3) Proven top shelf performer who had no luck last run when bolting at a crucial stage. Maps for a lovely run, has in the form jockey Lloyd aboard and only needs clean air in the big

Horse Racing Tips: NT Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments The feature is the $50,000 Finance Cup over 1600m (race 6). The track is sand and is rated Good and the weather is fine. The rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Pink Panther (Darwin Race 6 No. 3) He’s won both starts this preparation and steps up to the mile – a distance he’s won 3 times from 4 attempts. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range. The rail is in the 5 metres. The best bet sees an easier race than last start on paper and looks very hard to beat. Best Bet Little Cointreau (Randwick Race 6 No. 2) Has been racing in good fashion and brings in some very credible form lines around the likes of Elouyou and Captain Furai. Back off the heavy ground should suit and maps for a dream run from barrier 2. Deserving favourite.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 6 metres. The best bet was only narrowly denied last run in the same grade and can go one better this time around. Best Bet Nodachi (Sandown Race 3 No. 1) Going against the favourite and expecting Nodachi to come into good support on race day. Narrowly denied in this grade last start and this race is no harder. From barrier 5 it maps for a better run than its danger and is likeable odds. Lane steers
