Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Feature races are the Group 1 Lightning Stakes (race 8), Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (race 7), Group 3 The Vanity (race 5) and Listed Talindert Stakes (race 2).

Zakat (Flemington Race 9 No. 7)

Godolphin’s Zakat has won three of his sixteen career starts.  He returns to the races on Saturday on the back of two really nice trials, he found the line strongly in both under little riding.  He is drawn to get a lovely run in midfield from barrier eight and with the services of leading Melbourne rider Jamie Kah will be hard to beat.

Swats That (Flemington Race 8 No. 8):

This exciting daughter of Shamus Award resumes in the Group 1 Lightning Stakes.  She had a terrific spring campaign, winning two races and finishing runner up at her other two starts.  With a light weight here she looks to map in an ideal spot in behind the speed and is more suited than some of these over the 1000m.  She has only had seven starts so her best is likely still to come.

Aysar (Flemington Race 7 No. 9):

Aysar has come up as the early favourite in the CS Hayes Stakes on Saturday.  The Caulfield Guineas place getter ran second first up in the Manfred Stakes at Caulfield.  He will derive good benefit from that hit out however I would of liked to see him a little stronger through the line than he was.  He is still without his blinkers on Saturday and I don’t see any value in the early price in a strong edition of the CS Hayes.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Friday 17th May 2024

Key Comments The feature race is the Scone Cup (race 8). The rail is in the true position. The best bet looks a sure thing. Best Bet La Pleine Lune (Scone Race 5 No. 3) Absolutely romped in on debut. Concede it was in the right part of the track when the rail as hot however the race rated well, it had plenty more to give and the runner up has walked in since. Looks the good thing of all good things.

Horse Racing Tips: Happy Valley, Wednesday 15th May 2024

Key Comments There is a 9-race program under the lights at Happy Valley. The rail is in the C position for the meeting, and the skies are clear so the track should be a Good 4. The first race is at 6.40pm Hong Kong time which is 8.40pm AEST. Best Bet Turin Warrior (Happy Valley Race 7 No. 3) Last-start winner at this track and distance. He’s drawn well and Karis Teetan sticks. Strong chance. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson

Horse Racing Tips: WA Thursday 16th May 2024

Key Comments The track is Good and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Lifeisbutadream (Northam Race 2 No. 3) She kept chasing and just missed last start at Ascot on a soft track when resuming. Should improve off that run and be tough to beat Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way I'm Nipote (Northam Race 3 No. 5) He placed last start at this track and trip when wide

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Thursday 16th May 2024

Key Comments The track is in the heavy range. The rail is in the true position. The best bet comes up in the second race with Gibbons to steer. Best Bet Declichy Boulevard (Gosford Race 2 No. 8) Trials have been rock solid. Found open company too slick on debut but also had excuses on the day. Comes out of the right form race, finds Gibbons to ride and looks a major player in this suitable race. Hard to beat. Check odds
