Our Morphettville Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The feature races are the Manihi Classic (race 7) and the Clare Lindop Stakes (race 8).

Brother’s Shadow (Morphettville Race 1 No. 1)
This two-year-old gelding trained by Travis Doudle at Morphetville has had a great start to his career with two wins from two starts. He got a good trail and ran on late for a 0.2 length win over 1100m a Gawler on 23 January, then led most of the way and held on for a 0.5 length win over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 13 March. Expecting him to make it a hat-trick of wins.

Each Way

Zoist  (Morphettville Race 3 No. 3):
This three-year-old Zoustar gelding has two wins and a place from four starts. At the end of last campaign he raced up to take the lead at the 150m and drew clear for a 1.2 length win over 1400m at Murray Bridge on 20 September. Following a 23 week spell he improved then went stride for stride with the leader and got the bob in for a 0.1 length win over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 6 March. He looks a nice bet at each-way odds.

Best Lay

Victoria Quay (Morphettville Race 8 No. 1):
This three-year-old Dundeel filly is the early favourite in the Clare Lindop Stakes over 1600m. At the end of last campaign she won the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes by 0.3 length over 2000m at Flemington on 31 October. She resumed after an 18 week spell for 4.1 lengths 6th in the Listed Morphettville Guineas over 1600m on 8 March. She has drawn wide and goes up in weight and might need another run.
