Our Morphettville Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.
The feature races are the Manihi Classic (race 7) and the Clare Lindop Stakes (race 8).
Brother’s Shadow (Morphettville Race 1 No. 1)
This two-year-old gelding trained by Travis Doudle at Morphetville has had a great start to his career with two wins from two starts. He got a good trail and ran on late for a 0.2 length win over 1100m a Gawler on 23 January, then led most of the way and held on for a 0.5 length win over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 13 March. Expecting him to make it a hat-trick of wins.

Each Way
Zoist (Morphettville Race 3 No. 3):
This three-year-old Zoustar gelding has two wins and a place from four starts. At the end of last campaign he raced up to take the lead at the 150m and drew clear for a 1.2 length win over 1400m at Murray Bridge on 20 September. Following a 23 week spell he improved then went stride for stride with the leader and got the bob in for a 0.1 length win over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 6 March. He looks a nice bet at each-way odds.

Best Lay
Victoria Quay (Morphettville Race 8 No. 1):
This three-year-old Dundeel filly is the early favourite in the Clare Lindop Stakes over 1600m. At the end of last campaign she won the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes by 0.3 length over 2000m at Flemington on 31 October. She resumed after an 18 week spell for 4.1 lengths 6th in the Listed Morphettville Guineas over 1600m on 8 March. She has drawn wide and goes up in weight and might need another run.

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Wednesday 14th May 2025
Key Comments The track is rated soft and the rail is +3 metres the entire circuit. As the Bat Out Of Hell over 1100m was abandoned at Gold Coast on Saturday it has been added to this meeting as race 7. Best Bet King Boom (Ipswich Race 4 No. 2) He finished 2nd over 1240m at Ipswich when resuming from a 25 week spell, after leading most of the way. Should be fitter now and should be able to go one better.

Key Comments Night racing takes place at Pakenham. The best bet looks very hard to topple in the last and put the writing on the wall last time out. Best Bet Fabrice (Pakenham Race 8 No. 6) Good effort last time out in a race no harder than this. Drawn well, knocking on the door and looks very tough to hold out in this highly suitable affair. Key Comments Expecting all runners to have their chance on this track. The best bet was a certainty beat last time out and can atone this time around. Best Bet Cathedral Cove (Hawkesbury Race 4 No. 3) Should have won last start when given a howler ride. Maps a little sticky but should be extremely hard to beat with any luck this time around and finds a race lacking depth. Analyst: Bryce Parker
Horse Racing Tips: WA Wednesday 14th May 2025
Key Comments There are 8 races at Pinjarra Park. The track is rated good and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Our Paladin Al (Pinjarra Race 3 No. 3) At his only start he was a close runner-up after racing greenly and being caught wide. That was over 1200m at Pinjarra Scarpside where he had good sectionals. The horse that ran 3rd (Fast Harry) has won since. Should be hard to beat. Analyst: Jo Jackson
