Our Morphettville Parks Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The main races are the Group 1 Australasian Oaks (race 8) and the  Group 1 TAB Classic (race 7).

Lord Vladivostok (Morphettville Race 2 No. 1)
This four-year-old Tavistock gelding trained by Michael Hickmott at Murray Bridge has five wins and three places from 13 starts. He was a 3.5 length winner over 1800m at Morphettville on 20 February, then got bumped at the 100m and finished 1.5, 0.3 length 3rd in the Listed C S Hayes Cup over 1600m at Morphettville on 8 March. He has won two of his four starts this campaign and looks the likely winner.

Lady Dunmore  (Morphettville Race 9 No. 11):
This three-year-old Wandjina filly trained by Phillip Stokes has three wins and two places from her 11 starts. Following a narrow win at Werribee she settled well back before making ground then racing tight to finish 1.8 lengths 5th over 1100m at Sale on 28 March when she wasn’t fully tested. Last start she chased solidly for a 0.8 length win over 1200m at Morphettville on 10 April. This is a similar race and she looks a great each-way chance

Best Lay

In Good Health (Morphettville Race 5 No. 1):
This five-year-old Congrats mare is the early favourite in the Group 2 Queen of the South Stakes for fillies and mares over 1600m. When resuming from a 16 week spell she didn’t get the clearest of runs when 3.6 lengths 8th in the Group 3 Frances Tressady Stakes over 1400m at Flemington on 27 February, then she took the lead but was headed at the 100m and finished 1.25 lengths 4th in the Group 2 Sunline Stakes over 1600m at Moonee Valley on 19 March. She has had a six week let-up but others look better value.
