Our Gold Coast Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Ranch Hand (Gold Coast Race 5 No. 4)
This two-year-old Fastnet Rock colt trained by Chris Waller has raced three times for a win and a place, and his win was on soft going. He faded late for 0.4,0.2 length 3rd over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 16 January, then settled mid-field and worked home for 3.45 lengths 5th in the $2M Magic Million 2YO Classic over 1200m at Gold Coast on 16 January. He resumes after a 16 week spell and won a recent Rosehill trial. Should win.

Grace And Harmony (Gold Coast Race 6 No. 7):
This three-year-old Sebring filly has two wins and a place from four starts. She resumed from a 15 week spell for a 1.84 length win in a maiden handicap over 1400m at Newcastle on 10 April, then won by 1.3 lengths in a BM 64 handicap over 1550m at Kensington on 25 April. She has drawn very wide but is still worth an each-way bet.

Best Lay

Marboosha  (Gold Coast Race 7 No. 12):
This Dream Ahead filly trained by Peter & Paul Snowden has three wins and four places from eight starts and is the early favourite in the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas over 1200m. She battled away for 2.8 lengths 4th in the Listed Darby Munro Stakes over 1200m at Rosehill on 27 March, then chased hard and nearly got there for 0.1 length 2nd in the Group 3 P J Bell Stakes over 1200m at Randwick on 10 April. Has drawn the outside barrier and is untried on heavy going so I am prepared to risk her as favourite.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Wednesday 24th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is out 3 metres. Going with a runner who is off a year break and brings in a very strong ratings profile to be notching off its maiden. Wide open race for the jockey challenge on the day. Best Bet Idhana (Geelong Race 2 No. 5) Love the form around Idhana who comes into this off over a year in the paddock. Showed enough on debut in a race behind the likes of Shinzo and Maharba which is very

Key Comments The rail is out 3 metres from the 1000m-350m mark and the cutaway applies. The best bet thrives on racing here and will relish the heavy conditions. Best Bet Boncassie (Coffs Harbour Race 7 No. 2) She is 4 wins from 9 goes on the track and loves racing here. No problem in the wet, maps well and has been met with a stack of support. This 5yo Mare strikes the perfect race to be winning. Check odds on SmartB

Key Comments The rail is true. There is an 8 race card and the best bet is up in the first race of the day. Mott does the riding and has been heavily backed. Best Bet Mrs Supergrass (Sale Race 1 No. 6) Concede the price has shortened but there is plenty to like about the hopes of Mrs Supergrass in the first. She gave a bold sight on debut and went within half a length of winning as a $1.70 favourite. Mott

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Monday 22nd April 2024

Key Comments The best bet comes up in the middle of the day. The rail is true and the track is soft 5. Best Bet Prophet Time (Queanbeyan Race 5 No. 11) Doesn't win out of turn but weighted kindly and this 4yo Mare maps perfectly from barrier 1. Budler stays in the saddle off a gallant 2nd placing and this race suits. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Missile Maiden
