Ayrton (Eagle Farm Race 3 No. 2)
This three-year-old Iffraaj gelding trained by Mick Price has three wins and a place from four starts. He won both starts in his first campaign by big margins, then resumed from a 19 week spell with a 1.25 length win over 1200m at Caulfield. Last start he was sent out as the odds-on favourite but couldn’t reel in the leader and finished 0.2 length 2nd over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 29 May. Drawn the rails and will be very hard to beat.

Spirit Ridge (Eagle Farm Race 5 No. 4):
This six-year-old Nathaniel gelding trained by Mark Newnham has six wins and six places from 18 starts. He kept coming in the last 200m to share second place in the Listed Wagga Cup over 2000m on 7 May, then he ran on best for a narrow win in the Group 3 Premier’s Cup over 2400m at Eagle Farm on 29 May. He will go well over the 2200m and is worth an each-way bet.

Mister Sea Wolf (Eagle Farm Race 2 No. 2):
This nine-year-old gelding is the early favourite in The Wayne Wilson WFA over 1600m. He chased hard for 3.5 lengths 2nd in the G3 Doncaster Prelude over 1500m on 3 April, then finished 5.25 lengths 7th in the G2 A.D. Hollindale Stakes over 1800m on 8 May. Other runners have better recent form and I’m willing to risk him here.
