Our Gold Coast Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Paradee (Gold Coast Race 2 No. 3)
This four-year-old Epaulette mare trained by Danny O’Brien in Melbourne has four wins and four places from 13 starts and won her last start. She took over at the 300m and fought hard to only go down late for 0.5 length 2nd in the Listed Lord Stakes over 1700m at Caulfield on 26 December, then was too strong in the final 50m and won by a length over 1800m at the Gold Coast on 9 January. With a win at this track and distance only a week ago she looks the likely winner.

Each Way

Alpine Edge (Gold Coast Race 6 No. 1):
This two-year-old Better Than Ready colt is unbeaten in two starts. He debuted in the Listed Phelan Ready Plate where he led to the home turn, drew away in the straight and hung on for a narrow win over 1000m at Eagle Farm on 12 December, then he drew away late for a 0.5 length win in the Group 3 BJ McLachlan Plate over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 26 December. In this field of talented youngsters I think he is worth an each-way bet.

Best Lay

Yamazaki  (Gold Coast Race 9 No. 10):
This five-year-old mare from Sydney is the early favourite in this $1,000,000 Magic Million QTIS Open quality handicap over 1300m. She only got clear late to finish 3.2 lengths 5th in the Group 3 Angst Stakes over 1600m at Randwick on 10 October, then after a 10 week let-up she chased hard for 3.9 lengths 5th over 1200m at Randwick on 19 December. She won a fillies and mares race at this track and distance last January, but others look to have much more value.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 3rd May 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet is off the back of a strong second placing and looks hard to hold out launching from the good draw. Best Bet Red Red Wine (Echuca Race 8 No. 5) He has been hard to catch lately but was keen on him earlier this prep when he was smashed in the market and ran on well in a higher grade than this. Gets his chance in this field and should relish the drop in

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 4th May 2024

Key Comments The feature is the Group 3 WA Sires' Produce Stakes (race 7). The track is rated Soft and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Profit Pocket (Ascot Race 2 No. 3) She’s won all 3 starts this campaign at Esperance, Ascot and Pinjarra At her last 2 wins she’s raced outside the leader before taking over for dominant wins. Think she can do it again. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 4th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is out 8 metres. The track played well last time. Suspect with the rail out that far it may suit those on speed. The best bet looks double the price it should be. Best Bet Cadmus (Caulfield Heath Race 3 No. 1) Hard to beat. Brilliant return up a few grades than this and looks superbly treated in this with the drop in grade. Smart move with the claim and is 1/1 over this trip. Check odds on

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Friday 3rd May 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet is in the first and looks hard to beat. Best Bet Fifty Five Mustang (Muswellbrook Race 1 No. 1) Superb return when running a bold second at large odds. No harder here and just has to overcome the wide draw to score. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Torn (Muswellbrook Race 4 No. 9) Trials have been rock solid. Bullock rides from
