The Wave Race Information
The Wave is an 1800 metre standard weight-for-age race for three-year-olds and four-year-olds run by the Gold Coast Turf Club in January. It is held at Gold Coast as part of the Magic Millions Carnival.

The Wave Race History
The race was introduced in 2019 as a feature event a week before The Magic Millions raceday. It carries a wild card into the Magic Millions Trophy a week later.
