The Gothic Stakes is a 1400 metre set weights and penalties race for three-year-old colts and geldings run by the Melbourne Racing Club in October. It is held at Caulfield as part of the Caulfield Cup Carnival.

The race was first run in 1983 as a Listed race over 1200m and was won by Roman Aspect. The distance was increased to the current 1400m in 1990.

It is held on Caulfield Cup day which is the biggest event of the year at Caulfield
