2020 Theo Marks Stakes Race Details
Race 7 at Rosehill on Saturday 12 September 2020.
The Theo Marks Stakes is a 1300 metre handicap race run by the Australian Turf Club at Rosehill. It is held during September at the start of the Spring Racing Carnival.

Theo Marks Stakes 2020 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
There are 11 runners for the $200,000 Theo Marks Stakes where five of them are resuming from a spell and four of them had their last start in the Group 3 Show County Quality on 22 August. The early favourite is Funstar who resumed for 1.9 lengths 6th in the Show County. Second favourite is topweight Special Reward who ran 3rd in the Show County after looking the winner and being run down late. Third favourite is Wild Planet who was 8th in the same race and never really got clear.
Niccanova finished 3.7 lengths 6th in the Group 1 Winx Stakes last outing. Ranier resumes here and won first up last campaign. Tyzone comes back from a 14 week break after winning the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap at double-figure odds and won first-up on four occasions. Riodini has raced six times in New Zealand for 4 wins and two places, while Signore Fox finished 4th in the Show County. The other three runners are currently 25 to 1 or longer.
