Open race. Azula should plonk on the speed and be hard to catch off a commendable last start win. Influential was a little plain last start but missing the kick didn’t help. Mojave Desert has been around the mark all prep while Zimo looks to bring in some strong figures to this and can be effective if sitting closer to the speed from the in form Nesham stable.

1. Sonny Daze (10)

Racing well but jumps up in grade and has the wide draw to deal with. Respect any market moves. Place chance.

2. Flying Trapeze (3)

Respect any market moves. Good last start win and can go on with things in this.

3. Mojave Desert (4)

Been around the mark in its career and gets the right race. Short enough in the market but should be thereabouts from the good draw.

4. Influential (2)

No favours when missing the start last run. Must respect the jockey, draw and run prior. Hard to beat.

5. Cap Ferrat (5)

Prefer others.

6. Zimo (8)

Excellent 2 efforts to date that rate well and are good form for this. If Schofield can be prominent early this race is well within reach. Likeable at double figure odds.

7. Boomster (9)

This looks too tough.

8. New Pharoah (6)

Can’t have.

9. Azula (12)

Well backed and landed the prize last start. It’ll be hard to peg back if able to find the front but may cop pressure from out there. Hard to beat with even luck in running.

10. Brave Agenda (1)

Gets favours from the barrier and has put in some decent runs in its career. Place chance from the kind draw.

11. Black Minto (7)

Can’t have.

12. Electric Tigress (11)

Decent enough debut. Keep an eye on any market moves.
