Manfred Stakes 2024 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Open field where King Colorado has appeal. Maps well and has the ground one form lines. Carbonados has plenty to offer and looks well and truly up this grade. Steparty has plenty of upside but looks short enough while Brave Mead is a model of consistency and should give this a shake.
Manfred Stakes 2024 Runner by Runner
1. King Colorado (4)
Has the class of the field and looks very hard to beat if on song. Suited over further but looks well over the odds at the $8.00 mark and Zahra booked says plenty.
2. Steparty (7)
Has good upside but tricky draw and short in markets. Happy to look past it.
3. Brave Mead (2)
Consistent runner that gets the kind map and Shinn steering. Plenty to like about its chances but short enough in a field of this quality.
4. Carbonados (3)
Lots to like about two efforts to date and this race is well within reach. Maps well from the draw and is a danger to the on top selection.
5. Scentify (1)
Can’t have.
6. Southport Tycoon (6)
Resumes fresh and has shown plenty of ability. Lane steers and this is within reach.
7. Wolfy (8)
Classy runner that has claims in this. Keep an eye on the market.
8. Amigo (5)
Racing well and looks a chance from the kind draw. Much harder here but has the race fitness on the quick back up.
