A quality field engaged with plenty of talent and upside between these. Golden Boom is yet to taste defeat and is from the Tony Gollan yard. It’s hard to knock the way it has been racing and looks a gelding with a very bright future. End Assembly is in the same boat having won both career starts and has done both times impressively. This race is within reach. Spiritualised has the fitness edge, James Orman sticking and also is from the Tony Gollan yard. It was run down late in a race similar to this and will be hard to hold out at the business end. There should be good tempo on here.

1. Spiritualised (7)

Fitness told late for Spiritualised who was hardly disgraced first up. That looks the right form for this race, it will be strips fitter and good to see James Orman sticking. Spiritualised is the main danger to its stable mate Golden Boom and they look well placed to fight this out.

2. Johnny Rocker (5)

Expected more from Johnny Rocker last run when odds on. It lacked the turn of foot it showed fresh when chasing Golden Boom. If it can recapture its form it is right in the mix and just has to find a length and a half on the favourite. Has to lift off last run but can win.

3. Steady Ready (2)

Steady Ready has been racing well and should give a strong sight in this. I do have a lean to the form of some of the others in this but it will get its chance from barrier 2 and hard to knock winning form.

4. Golden Boom (6)

Seeing no reason to jump off Golden Boom. It won well last start and showed off a neat turn of foot. This race looks very suitable and Tony Gollan has a strong hand but this looks the pick of them. Given the depth of the race the $1.90 seems thin enough but this is well within reach and I have it on top.

5. Roll Up (8)

Can’t have.

6. End Assembly (3)

Hard to pot the way End Assembly has been racing. It has won both starts to date in good fashion and has been well tried in early markets. This is a step up in grade but it has good upside and maps to get the dream run from barrier 3.

7. Exo Lady (4)

Handy filly who brings in strong form and has ticked the Eagle Farm box with 3 wins from 7 attempts. It ran well last start behind the handy Stroll and Chinny Boom. That kind of form looks right for this and Jim Byrne has been with the horse the whole way. Major chance.
