Our Launceston Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

The main races is the $100,000 Conquering Stakes (Race 7).

Street Tough (Launceston Race 1 No. 1)
This six-year-old gelding trained by Scott Brunton has six wins and eight places from 19 starts. He finished best out wide for a 0.5 length win over 1150m at Devonport Tapeta Synthetic on 13 September, then was held up into the straight before getting clear late and winding up for 0.3, 1 length 3rd in the Listed Newmarket Handicap  over 1200m at Launceston on soft going on 25 November where he looked unlucky. He goes well at this track, drops in grade and should win.

Each Way

Shady Hustle (Launceston Race 7 No. 9):
This five-year-old Hussonet mare has had 19 starts for six wins and eight places, including five wins at this track. She came from last to finish 0.2 lengths 2nd over 1600m at Launceston on a soft track on 28 October, then charged late to just miss for 0.1 lengths 2nd over 1400m at Launceston on 21 November. She has been placed at her last four runs and is worth an each-way bet.

Best Lay

Sardegna Deel (Launceston Race 5 No. 8):
This four-year-old Dundeel mare is the early favourite in this maiden/class 1 over 2100m. She ground home for a length, length 3rd  over 2100m at Launceston on 28 October, then took up the running then died on her run for 12.1 lengths 6th over 2100m at Hobart on 29 November. This is a similar race and she doesn’t offer value.

Key Comments The rail is true and the conditions are in the soft range. A 9 race card takes place and the jockeys challenge looks an even spread of chances. The best bet looks well placed to notch up another win. Best Bet She's Pretty Rich (Wangaratta Race 4 No. 3) Doesn't win out of turn but did 2 starts back and again put in a solid effort last run in Morphetville. Looks well placed here on the weights scale and should give

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is out 0.5 metre from the 900m to 600m, and +1.5 metres from the 600m to 250m. Best Bet Levar (Gatton Race 1 No. 4) Levar was a close 3rd at Ipswich at his only start. From the inside barrier he should go straight to the front and should be able to stay there. Top rated. Key Comments There are 8 races at Pinjarra Park. The track is soft and the rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Processio (Pinjarra Race 2 No. 6) This filly was a neck 2nd when resuming over 1200m at Bunbury on 2nd June. There was a 6 length gap to 3rd. Looks a strong chance here. Key Comments Suitable track for those who can sustain a long finale. The rail is in 3 metres from the 1100m mark to the winning post and true for the remainder. The track is in the soft range. The best bet brings in some very strong form lines. Best Bet Recruiter (Kembla Grange Race 5 No. 4) Tough draw to overcome but love the form lines around this runner with 3 horses to have subsequently run and won including Art Volant and Waterski
