The track is a Good 4 with the rail in the true position. The highlight of the meeting is the Balaklava Cup over 1600m (race 8). This is the the largest race meeting held outside the metropolitan area in South Australia and is one for the bucket list. Jake Toeroek has some nice rides.

Best Bet Mai Aloha (Belmont Race 7 No. 9) She was runner-up at the first 2 starts of her career then went to York last start where she led all the way to win her maiden by 1.5 lengths. Best Bet Socrazyinlove (Orange Race 1 No. 10) Trials have been excellent and the stable have opted for this race as the right target. Collett rides from the good draw, the early market support is ideal and this race looks very much within reach.
