Our Rosehill Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Rothfire (Rosehill Race 7 No. 1)
This Rothesay gelding has had eight starts for seven wins and a place. He finished last campaign with a 3.3 length win in the Group 1 JJ Atkins 2YO Plate over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 6 June, then resumed after 14 weeks with a 1.5 length win in the Group 2 Run To The Rose over 1200m at Rosehill which many other runners in this race were also in. He is very smart and should win again.

Cadenabbia (Rosehill Race 4 No. 5):
This Redoubte’s Choice colt trained by Chris Waller has only had two runs but looks to be well above average. He debuted for 0.2 length 2nd over 1300m at Kensington on 26 August, then kept chasing to get there late for a 0.5 length win over 1550m at Canterbury Park on 9 September where he had the best 800m-200m race sectional. He looks a nice each-way proposition.

Forbidden Love (Rosehill Race 5 No. 10):
This All Too Hard filly is the early favourite in the Listed Heritage Stakes over 1100m. She resumed after 16 weeks with a 1.5 length win over 1200m at Canterbury Park on 19 August, then was winded in the latter stages to finish 0.5 length, 1.3 lengths 3rd in the Group 2 Furious Stakes over 1200m at Randwick on 5 September. She drops in grade here, but so do others and she does not look like a value bet.

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Key Comments The best bet is in the first and was explosive on debut. Expecting all to have their chance on this track that usually plays fair. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
