Our Wagga Wagga Horse Racing Tips for Fridays meeting.

Day 2 of the Wagga Carnival. Race 7 is the Wagga Cup.

Splendiferous (Wagga Race 4 No.5)
This three-year-old Pride Of Dubai trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott has two wins from six starts. She resumed from a 26 week spell with a 1.91 length win in a maiden handicap over 1200m at Newcastle on 30 March where she ran the best overall race sectionals, then she kept chasing to prevail in the latter stages for a length win in a F&M BM 64 handicap over 1400m at Newcastle on 22 April. She is going for a hat-trick here and looks the likely winner.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Island Bay Boy (Wagga Race 6 No. 5):
This three-year-old All Too Hard gelding trained by Tony Sergi at Queanbeyan has three win and one place from five starts. He came off heels soon after straightening and knuckled down in the last 100m to win by 1.09 length over 1300m at Canberra on 31 March, then looked beaten when headed at the 200m but dug deep and rallied in the final stages fighting back for a narrow win in the Guineas Prelude over 1400m at Wagga on 18 April. Drops 3 kg from that run and looks a nice each-way chance in the Wagga Guineas.

Best Lay

Loving Cilla (Wagga Race 3 No. 11):
This four-year-old Reliable Man mare trained by Joseph Ible at Canberra has a win and a place from three starts and is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 1300m. She won the Showcase Country maiden plate by a length over 1400m at Nowra on 6 December, then never really got clear when 4.2 lengths 8th in a Highway Class 2 handicap over 1300m at Randwick on 19 December. Resuming from a 19 week break this is quite a tough race and I’m prepared to risk her.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 4th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is out 8 metres. The track played well last time. Suspect with the rail out that far it may suit those on speed. The best bet looks double the price it should be. Best Bet Cadmus (Caulfield Heath Race 3 No. 1) Hard to beat. Brilliant return up a few grades than this and looks superbly treated in this with the drop in grade. Smart move with the claim and is 1/1 over this trip. Check odds on

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Friday 3rd May 2024

Key Comments The track is rated soft and the rail is in true position for the 10 race meeting. Best Bet Flying D'amore (Kilcoy Race 4 No. 5) Filly from the Annabel Neasham stable who resumed for 5th over 1200m at Doomben on 17th April. Will find this easier and looks the leading chance. Key Comments The rail is true from the 1600 to the winning post and out 3 metres for the remainder. The best bet I have priced nearly a moral and runs towards the end of the day. Best Bet Diamond City (Cranbourne Race 7 No. 9) Sat 3WNC at the end of last prep and couldn't match it with Semana. That form is huge for this and the run rated through the roof. Should be winning if ready to go. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Berkshire Breeze (Cranbourne Race 5 No. 1) Keen to multi with the best bet. Excellent return run. Will be strips fitter for it, an in form Brown rides and hard to to knock the stable right now. They are flying. Horse Racing Tips: WA Thursday 2nd May 2024

Key Comments The track is rated Good and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Stryker's Gal (Pinjarra Scarpside Race 6 No. 9) This filly has been runner-up at 2 of her 3 starts – the latest over 1413m at Pinjarra. She’s drawn nicely and should get every chance to break through for her maiden win. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Warning Shot (Pinjarra Scarpside Race 4
