Our Wagga Wagga Horse Racing Tips for Fridays meeting.

Day 2 of the Wagga Carnival. Race 7 is the Wagga Cup.

Splendiferous (Wagga Race 4 No.5)
This three-year-old Pride Of Dubai trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott has two wins from six starts. She resumed from a 26 week spell with a 1.91 length win in a maiden handicap over 1200m at Newcastle on 30 March where she ran the best overall race sectionals, then she kept chasing to prevail in the latter stages for a length win in a F&M BM 64 handicap over 1400m at Newcastle on 22 April. She is going for a hat-trick here and looks the likely winner.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Island Bay Boy (Wagga Race 6 No. 5):
This three-year-old All Too Hard gelding trained by Tony Sergi at Queanbeyan has three win and one place from five starts. He came off heels soon after straightening and knuckled down in the last 100m to win by 1.09 length over 1300m at Canberra on 31 March, then looked beaten when headed at the 200m but dug deep and rallied in the final stages fighting back for a narrow win in the Guineas Prelude over 1400m at Wagga on 18 April. Drops 3 kg from that run and looks a nice each-way chance in the Wagga Guineas.

Best Lay

Loving Cilla (Wagga Race 3 No. 11):
This four-year-old Reliable Man mare trained by Joseph Ible at Canberra has a win and a place from three starts and is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 1300m. She won the Showcase Country maiden plate by a length over 1400m at Nowra on 6 December, then never really got clear when 4.2 lengths 8th in a Highway Class 2 handicap over 1300m at Randwick on 19 December. Resuming from a 19 week break this is quite a tough race and I’m prepared to risk her.

Key Comments The rail is true and the conditions are in the soft range. A 9 race card takes place and the jockeys challenge looks an even spread of chances. The best bet looks well placed to notch up another win. Best Bet She's Pretty Rich (Wangaratta Race 4 No. 3) Doesn't win out of turn but did 2 starts back and again put in a solid effort last run in Morphetville. Looks well placed here on the weights scale and should give

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is out 0.5 metre from the 900m to 600m, and +1.5 metres from the 600m to 250m. Best Bet Levar (Gatton Race 1 No. 4) Levar was a close 3rd at Ipswich at his only start. From the inside barrier he should go straight to the front and should be able to stay there. Top rated. Best Bet Processio (Pinjarra Race 2 No. 6) This filly was a neck 2nd when resuming over 1200m at Bunbury on 2nd June. There was a 6 length gap to 3rd. Looks a strong chance here. Key Comments The track is in the soft range and the rail is out 8 metres. The best bet is one of the hardest horses to catch but looks juicy odds. Best Bet William Thomas (Sandown Race 8 No. 3) He has been enormous in his past few runs without much luck and does go well on this track. Very hard horse to catch but boasts a good place rate and hasn't seen a grade this low since 2018. Can win but he
