Our Wagga Wagga Horse Racing Tips for Fridays meeting.
Day 2 of the Wagga Carnival. Race 7 is the Wagga Cup.
Splendiferous (Wagga Race 4 No.5)
This three-year-old Pride Of Dubai trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott has two wins from six starts. She resumed from a 26 week spell with a 1.91 length win in a maiden handicap over 1200m at Newcastle on 30 March where she ran the best overall race sectionals, then she kept chasing to prevail in the latter stages for a length win in a F&M BM 64 handicap over 1400m at Newcastle on 22 April. She is going for a hat-trick here and looks the likely winner.

Each Way
Island Bay Boy (Wagga Race 6 No. 5):
This three-year-old All Too Hard gelding trained by Tony Sergi at Queanbeyan has three win and one place from five starts. He came off heels soon after straightening and knuckled down in the last 100m to win by 1.09 length over 1300m at Canberra on 31 March, then looked beaten when headed at the 200m but dug deep and rallied in the final stages fighting back for a narrow win in the Guineas Prelude over 1400m at Wagga on 18 April. Drops 3 kg from that run and looks a nice each-way chance in the Wagga Guineas.

Loving Cilla (Wagga Race 3 No. 11):
This four-year-old Reliable Man mare trained by Joseph Ible at Canberra has a win and a place from three starts and is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 1300m. She won the Showcase Country maiden plate by a length over 1400m at Nowra on 6 December, then never really got clear when 4.2 lengths 8th in a Highway Class 2 handicap over 1300m at Randwick on 19 December. Resuming from a 19 week break this is quite a tough race and I’m prepared to risk her.
