Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Saturdays meeting.

Lightsaber (Sandown Hillside Race 1 No. 7):

This two year old colt trained by Peter Moody will have his second career start in the opener.  He made his debut at Geelong on January 15 where he was only narrowly beaten in a high rating maiden.  He was particularly strong over the last 200 metres of the race so the step up from 1150m to 1300m looks ideal here.  With natural improvement he is the one to beat.

Future Force (Sandown Hillside Race 6  No. 16):

This three year old filly is having her second run back from a spell.  She jumped out very impressively prior to her first up run at Geelong where she finished 0.3 of a length behind River Twain who is a progressive gelding.  I thought that run was full of merit given she had to work outside his lead.  I have her marked favourite here and think she is a great each way bet at the $6.

Safeeya (Sandown Hillside Race 3 No. 7):

Safeeya has come up as the early favourite in race three.  She was able to break her maiden first up at Cranbourne in good style and then finished six lengths behind the impressive Ayrton at Caulfield on Boxing Day.  At her latest run at Moonee Valley she was well fancied in the betting and whilst appeared slightly unlikely the winner of the race Yukon was safely holding her on the line.  This is a competitive benchmark 70 so happy to oppose her at current odds.
