Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Saturdays meeting.

Lightsaber (Sandown Hillside Race 1 No. 7):

This two year old colt trained by Peter Moody will have his second career start in the opener.  He made his debut at Geelong on January 15 where he was only narrowly beaten in a high rating maiden.  He was particularly strong over the last 200 metres of the race so the step up from 1150m to 1300m looks ideal here.  With natural improvement he is the one to beat.

Each Way

Future Force (Sandown Hillside Race 6  No. 16):

This three year old filly is having her second run back from a spell.  She jumped out very impressively prior to her first up run at Geelong where she finished 0.3 of a length behind River Twain who is a progressive gelding.  I thought that run was full of merit given she had to work outside his lead.  I have her marked favourite here and think she is a great each way bet at the $6.

Best Lay

Safeeya (Sandown Hillside Race 3 No. 7):

Safeeya has come up as the early favourite in race three.  She was able to break her maiden first up at Cranbourne in good style and then finished six lengths behind the impressive Ayrton at Caulfield on Boxing Day.  At her latest run at Moonee Valley she was well fancied in the betting and whilst appeared slightly unlikely the winner of the race Yukon was safely holding her on the line.  This is a competitive benchmark 70 so happy to oppose her at current odds.

Key Comments The track is rated good and the rail is out 0.5 metre from the 900m to 600m, and +1.5 metres from the 600m to 250m. Best Bet Levar (Gatton Race 1 No. 4) Levar was a close 3rd at Ipswich at his only start. From the inside barrier he should go straight to the front and should be able to stay there. Top rated. Key Comments There are 8 races at Pinjarra Park. The track is soft and the rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Processio (Pinjarra Race 2 No. 6) This filly was a neck 2nd when resuming over 1200m at Bunbury on 2nd June. There was a 6 length gap to 3rd. Looks a strong chance here. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Thursday 20th June 2024

Key Comments Suitable track for those who can sustain a long finale. The rail is in 3 metres from the 1100m mark to the winning post and true for the remainder. The track is in the soft range. The best bet brings in some very strong form lines. Best Bet Recruiter (Kembla Grange Race 5 No. 4) Tough draw to overcome but love the form lines around this runner with 3 horses to have subsequently run and won including Art Volant and Waterski

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 19th June 2024

Key Comments The track is in the heavy range. The rail is out 3 metres. The best bet comes up in race three and showed promising signs on debut and followed that up last start. Should prove hard to hold out. Best Bet Grassburn (Canterbury Race 3 No. 4) Both seconds to date have been very good efforts and strikes a suitable affair here. The map is ideal from the draw and the current favourite arrives at odds that look too short. Nice
