Great Diviner (Morphettville Race 9 No. 5)
This three-year-old Shamus Award gelding trained by Will Clarken has three wins and a place from six starts. He took over going for home at the 400m and won by a comfortable 1.3 lengths over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 19 June, then showed he can handle a heavy track with a 0.4 length win over 1300m at Morphettville Parks on 17 July. Todd Pannell sticks with him and he looks well-placed to win again.
Jyoti (Morphettville Race 4 No. 5):
This three-year-old Akeed Mofee filly trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy has two wins and three places from eight starts. She got close at the 300m before peaking late for 0.95 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Ballarat on 15 June, then jumped awkwardly and was brushed a couple of time before battling on for 1.9 lengths 3rd where she just missed 2nd. Has won previously at this track and distance and looks a great each-way chance.
Lord Bouzeron (Morphettville Race 5 No. 1):
This four-year-old Burgundy gelding trained by Michael Hickmott is the early favourite in this BM 68 handicap over 2500m. He stalked the leader but winded late to finish 6.8 lengthd 4th over 2100m at Gawler on 10 July, then led to the turn before being headed by the eventual winner turning into the straight but battled away to hold 2nd place comfortably over 2500m at Morphettville on heavy going on 24 July. He is on a seven day back-up and will run his usual honest race, but goes up in weight and even with a 2kg claim carries more than any other runner, which will tell on the heavy track. Prepared to risk him here.

On resuming he was held-up badly from the 400m to 100m and finished 1.9 lengths 2nd. Is a track specialist with five wins and five
Best Bet | Race 8 #2 Morethannumberone Must be with this progressive 5yo trained at the Gold Coast track by the shrewd Michael Costa. He was electric winning last start at this track and really should be unbeaten from three starts this campaign. Instead, he’s won two from three, with the blemish coming when caught wide two starts back at Doomben. The form out of that race looks good now with Lasting Kiss continuing to win. He has a wide gate here but there’s not a lot of speed and Andrew Mallyon

Best Bets Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. Kaptain Kaos (Belmont Race 2 No. 2) This four-year-old Demerit gelding trained by Michael Grantham has five wins and three places from nine starts. When resuming after 15 weeks he charged ahead late for a 0.3 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 7 August, then arrived late for a 0.2 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 28 August. The extra 200m should suit and he should be hard to beat. $1.90
