Our Morphettville Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The feature is the Listed City Of Marion Stakes (race 7).

Alleboom (Morphettville Race 3 No. 1)
This Spirit Of Boom colt trained by Richard and Chantelle Jolly has had six starts for three wins and two places. He raced three wide with no cover before weakening out in the straight for 6.6 lengths 6th over 1200m at Morphettville on 17 October, then jumped awkwardly but was strong through the line to get up in the last few strides for a 0.5 length win over 1000m at Flemington on 3 November. Has drawn the inside barrier and looks the likely winner.

Each Way

Hasta La Fiorente (Morphettville Race 2 No. 5):
This five-year-old Fiorents gelding has six wins and eight places from 22 starts. He raced keenly then lost his position going back to 8th before working home out wide for 2.2 lengths 2nd over 2000m at Naracoorte on 21 October, then took over at the 1000m and despite tiring he just lasted for a 0.2 length win over 2500m at Morphettville on 3 November. Dom Tourneur sticks with him and he looks a nice each-way bet at the same track and distance.

Best Lay

Tiganello (Morphettville Race 8 No. 2):
This four-year-old Savabeel gelding trained by Tony McEvoy is the early favourite in this BM 64 Handicap over 1600m. He battled on steadily for 2.45 lengths 7th over 1400m at Sale on 30 August before a 10 week break, then resumed for an all the way win over 1400m at Murray Bridge on 11 November, where he was tiring at the end but just lasted to win by 0.3 lengths. The extra 200m may not suit and other runners have won over 1600m.

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Wednesday 24th April 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Horse Racing Tips: WA Wednesday 24th April 2024

Key Comments The track is rated Good and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Platinum Shot (Pinjarra Race 7 No. 4) This filly just missed over 1400m at Geraldton last start Drawn perfectly and rates strongly. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Cherry Can Run (Pinjarra Race 5 No. 5) Cherry Can Run finished 2nd at Narrogin last start, and normally runs well here. Looks worth an each-way bet.

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Wednesday 24th April 2024

Key Comments The track is rated as Heavy and the rail is +6 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Jonny Da Wolf (Ipswich Race 7 No. 4) This Chris Waller runner has placed at 4 of his 5 starts and is on a 7 day back-up. Should race on the speed and is ready to lose his maiden status. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Wednesday 24th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is out 3 metres. Going with a runner who is off a year break and brings in a very strong ratings profile to be notching off its maiden. Wide open race for the jockey challenge on the day. Best Bet Idhana (Geelong Race 2 No. 5) Love the form around Idhana who comes into this off over a year in the paddock. Showed enough on debut in a race behind the likes of Shinzo and Maharba which is very
