Our Doomben Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

The Doomben Cup is race 7.

Grace And Harmony (Doomben Race 9 No. 3)
This three-year-old Sebring filly trained by Chris Waller has three wins and a place from five starts. She chased hard to find the front at the 250m and kept going for a 1.3 length win over 1550m at Kensington on 25 April, then took over at the 200m and drew clear for a 1.25 length win on soft going in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet over 1800m on 8 May. This is her first attempt at Group level, but with James McDonald and the Chris Waller polish she looks up to it.

Each Way

Guntantes (Doomben Race 2 No. 6):
This four-year-old Rothesay gelding trained by Robert Heathcote goes well over this distance, with three wins and a place from five runs over 1600m. He ran on from well back in the field for 4.65 lengths 5th over 1350m at Doomben on 24 April, then jumped awkwardly but fought hard to be in a triple deah-heat for 2nd over 1600m at Eagle Farm on 1 May. Looks well placed here and is a nice each-way chance.

Rocketing By (Doomben Race 4 No. 5):
This  three-year-old So You Think colt is the early favourite in this 3YO Plate over 1110m. When resuming from a 10 week break he only battled in the straight for 2.7 lengths 5th in the Group 2 Arrowfield 3YO Sprint over 1200m at Randwick on 17 April, then was held up to the 200m before making some ground for 2.65 lengths 5th on soft going in the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas over 1200m on 8 May. He drops in grade and this is his first run for trainer Matthew Dunn, but others offer better value.
