Horse Racing Tips : ACT Sunday 13th March 2022

Best Bets

Our Canberra Racing Tips for Sundays meeting. The feature races are the Group 3 Black Opal (race 8) and the Listed National Sprint (race 7).

Metallicity (Canberra Race 8 No. 4)
Loved the debut effort of Metallicity despite plenty going wrong for it. A change of tactics with the steer is likely and there are huge wraps about it from the stable. Needs some luck from the draw but I am surprised it didn’t open up clear cut favourite. Very well placed here and looks ready to win the 2022 Black Opal Stakes.

Chat (Canberra Race 7 No. 1)

Chat has irresistible formlines for this National Sprint race. I’m putting a pen through its last run in the Newcastle Newmarket as I doubt it handled the heavy track all that well. Prior run was a 4 length defeat behind Lost And Running with Overpass in second in the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes. We saw Overpass come out and demolish the Inglis Sprint field last weekend and Lost And Running looks a very strong chance in the Group 1 Newmarket on Saturday. Form around these 2 high-class gallopers sticks out in this field and despite the awkward draw, Chat holds very strong claims in this field.

Aim (Canberra Race 7 No. 2)

Suprised Aim opened up favourite and I don’t think it is going near as well as it used to. Form at the moment reads very average and hasn’t been able to find the placings for quite some time. It is classy on its day but I couldn’t have it favourite in this competitive affair.

Horse Racing Tips: SA Friday 13th September 2024

Key Comments The track is rated soft and the rail is +2 metres from the 1400m to 1200m,+2 metres from the 800m to 400m and true for the remainder. This is the same as the last meeting on 18th August. Best Bet Reciprocal (Bordertown Race 3 No. 10) Resumed to finish midfield at Murray Bridge when fresh coming from the back of the field. Clearly looking for longer than the 1000m and looks well-suited by the 1200m here. Check odds on SmartB

Key Comments 8 race card taking place. The track is in the soft range. Multiple well priced short favourites take place on this card. The best bet comes up later in the day and brings undeniable claims to what is a solid maiden field. Best Bet November Air (Goulburn Race 7 No. 10) Brings in some really strong form to this deep maiden. Draw makes things tricky but can land on the speed and Collett is booked which is ideal. Should give this

Key Comments The best bet comes up in the last of the day and will prove hard to beat in a suitable race. Best Bet Milton Road (Lismore Race 7 No. 5) Like the form it brings to this and scored a big win two runs back. Knocked up last start but capable of bouncing back in this and looks the right price.
