Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Tri For Us (Belmont Race 6 No. 5)
This three-year-old filly trained by Adam Durrant has three wins and two 2nd places from five starts and has never ran a bad race. She was outbobbed on the line for a nose 2nd over 1400m at Ascot on 12 May, then ran on strongly and was dominant in the final 100m to win by 1.64 lengths over 1600m at Belmont on 22 May. She has done everything right so far and should win here.

Hot Zed (Belmont Race 8 No. 6):
This three-year-old Red Hot Choice gelding has five wins and three places from 10 starts. After an eight week let-up he took over at the 200m and won by 0.78 length over 1100m at Ascot on 15 May, then he was overhauled in the final 100m for 3.81 lengths 4th on a soft track over 1200m at Belmont on 29 May. He is on a seven day back-up and with his great strike rate he looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Madam Torio (Belmont Race 2 No. 1):
This three-year-old I’m All The Talk filly is the early favourite in this 3YO Handicap over 1000m. She led all the way and kicked strongly in the straight for a 4.35 length win over 1000m at Ascot on 19 December, then was tackled at the 125m and folded for 3 lengths 4th over 1000m at Ascot on 23 January. Resumes here from a 19 week spell but meets some very good 3YOs here and is far from a sure thing.

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments The track is Soft and the rail is +4 metres the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Sky Land (Hobart Race 1 No. 10) This 2YO filly takes on the older horses here but has been very game

Key Comments There are 7 races on a Good track where the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Lord Valen (Strathalbyn Race 2 No. 3) He’s been runner-up at both starts this campaign, at Murray Bridge then Balaklava. He gets his chance to lose his maiden status here. Key Comments Features are the $75,000 The Fitzroy Open over 1300m (race 6) and $775,000 The Archer over 1300m (race 7). The track is rated Soft and the rail is +2.5m the entire circuit. Best Bet Penman (Rockhampton Race 5 No. 3) Last start he led most of the way on a bog track before being overhauled late. On a better track he should be hard to beat. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments 8 race card with a few short favourites that look hard to beat. The best bet comes up in race 5 and is knocking on the door for a win. Best Bet Subrising (Ballarat Race 5 No. 6) Comes off the back of 2 second placings and Egan will ride from the wide draw. A lot to like about the past few runs and looks a better hope than the favourite who may just get too far back in this.
