Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Tri For Us (Belmont Race 6 No. 5)
This three-year-old filly trained by Adam Durrant has three wins and two 2nd places from five starts and has never ran a bad race. She was outbobbed on the line for a nose 2nd over 1400m at Ascot on 12 May, then ran on strongly and was dominant in the final 100m to win by 1.64 lengths over 1600m at Belmont on 22 May. She has done everything right so far and should win here.

Each Way

Hot Zed (Belmont Race 8 No. 6):
This three-year-old Red Hot Choice gelding has five wins and three places from 10 starts. After an eight week let-up he took over at the 200m and won by 0.78 length over 1100m at Ascot on 15 May, then he was overhauled in the final 100m for 3.81 lengths 4th on a soft track over 1200m at Belmont on 29 May. He is on a seven day back-up and with his great strike rate he looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Madam Torio (Belmont Race 2 No. 1):
This three-year-old I’m All The Talk filly is the early favourite in this 3YO Handicap over 1000m. She led all the way and kicked strongly in the straight for a 4.35 length win over 1000m at Ascot on 19 December, then was tackled at the 125m and folded for 3 lengths 4th over 1000m at Ascot on 23 January. Resumes here from a 19 week spell but meets some very good 3YOs here and is far from a sure thing.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments There are 2 features on the meeting. The Mornington Cup (race 8) and the Hareeba Stakes (race 9). The rail is out 9 metres and the best bet is in the first. Best Bet Perspiration (Mornington Race 1 No. 1) Has been excellent to date in 2 runs so far and looks ready to win. Ethan Brown does the steering and you can argue it should have won last start when taken wide and hit the line with plenty of intent.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 1000m-380m mark and true for the remainder. The best bet looks primed to break through. Best Bet Elba ( Cranbourne Race 2 No. 6 ) Boasts 4 placings to date, all of them in some decent company and now Elba gets its chance to breakthrough. Tackles this off a freshen up, comes up with the pole position and looks poised to give this race a red hot shake. Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The feature races are the Ascot Quality Handicap (race 8) and the Daybreak Lover (race 9). The track is Good and the rail is +1 metre the entire circuit. Best Bet Iverson (Eagle Farm Race 4 No. 10) Iverson has had 3 starts since joining the Robert Heathcote stable for 2 wins and a runner-up. He won by 2.5 lengths here last start and should go well again with a 2kg claim and good barrier. Check odds on SmartB Analyst:

Horse Racing Tips: SA Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The feature is the H C Nitschke Stakes (race 8). The track is rated Good and the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Fancify (Morphettville Race 9 No. 8) Fancify resumes after 20 weeks and was won both her previous first-up starts. She’s only missed the quinella once in 7 starts and should be hard to catch. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Trumpsta (Morphettville Race 3 No. 7)
