Hobart Guineas Race History

The race dates back to at least 1994 when it was won by a horse called Dancing Cossack. It was known as the Hobart Guineas up to 2018, and from 2019 onwards has been called the Launceston Guineas. Normally run over 2100m it has held over 1600m from 2005 to 2008.
