Winter Challenge 2023 Race Details

Race 8 at Rosehill Racecourse on Saturday the 22nd of July 2023.

The Winter Challenge is a Listed race held at Rosehill Racecourse and is run over 1500 metres. It is run under quality handicap conditions and is for horses aged three-years-old and older. The total prize money is $160,000 this year.

Winter Stakes 2023 Preview

Track: Good Weather: Fine

Plenty of hopes in this and Chris Waller has 5 runners. Semana is racing in excellent fashion and gets its chance in this field. Both Barbie’s Fox and Resonator have been consistent and can give this race a shake. Longvillers will be around the mark and is having a good prep while Sibaaq resumes and has strong claims .

5. Longvillers (8)

Never got clear last start and the extra distance suits. This race is within reach.

6. Norwegian Bliss (2)

Finished well back in the Ramornie when resuming, but can improve.

7. Iene Fortune (19)

Import having his first Australian start. Drawn the widest barrier. Prefer to see.

Dropping back from 2000m.  Prefer others.

Ran 2nd in the Winter Stakes. Hard to hold out.

Two wins from 4 starts this campaign. Around the mark all prep and has good claims here.
