Short favourite Sghirripa will take beating. Has speed and from barrier 1 can lead these up. The Astrologist will be right up there on the pace and is well suited to this field. Curran is hit and miss but best efforts should give this race a shake. Treasured Star is a place hope while Crosshaven is a nightmare to catch but can pull out a win occasionally.

Ran 3rd in this race in 2022. Back from a stint overseas. Didn’t do much fresh but should be strips fitter and does have a good record here. Can plonk up on the speed from the good draw and gets the very in form Lane to steer.

2. Sghirripa (1)

Building a super record and can ping to the front from barrier 1. Short enough in early markets but strikes the right race here to go on with things.

3. Treasured Star (5)

Solid jump out and winnable weight. The stable are having a quiet patch but this race is winnable.

4. Curran (6)

Doesn’t win out of turn but suited by the conditions and looks well placed in this field. Each way claims against these.

5. Crosshaven (4)

Too hard to catch. Good enough to win but looking for others.

6. Snapper (2)

Won this race last year. Didn’t find any form last prep. Keep an eye on the market for any moves.

Prefer others.
