Third favourite is Luvnwar who won over 1400m at Belmont last start. Petrouchka comes off a 2.5 length maiden win over 1400m at Northam. Sapphire Street was 3rd in the Raconteur, while Russian To The Bar already has 2 Listed wins under his belt. He already has 2 Listed wins under his belt with the Challenge Stakes over 1500m in February and the Lex Piper over 1600m in March. Might be better at Ascot but still a genuine chance.

Won his last 2 including a 1.3 length win in the Listed Raconteur Stakes over 1400m at Belmont on 8 June. One of the main chances.

3. Ancient Guidance (2)

Hasn’t fired in his first 2 runs this campaign. Not keen.

4. Cool Memory (17)

Was runner-up three times in a row before 5th in the Raconteur. Drawn the widest barrier. Not the worst.

5. King’s Parade (7)

Yet to place in 3 runs at Belmont. Seems unlikely.

6. My Jimmy (4)

Won over 1400m here before 8th in the Raconteur. Prefer others.

7. Weeraechoux (5)

Looking elsewhere.

Gets the inside barrier. Rough place chance.

Chasing a hat-trick after 2 wins at Kalgoorlie. Could surprise.

Last-start winner over 1600m at Northam despite being slowly away and racing greenly. I’m expecting him to go well.

On a day back-up after 4th at Belmont on Wednesday. Unlikely.

Smart filly that was 3rd in the Raconteur. Chance.

13. The Boss Lady (16)

Finished 2nd in the Raconteur with the best closing splits. She’s very consistent with 6 wins and 3 places from 10 starts but the barrier draw has not been kind to her. One of the key chances.

14. Luvnwar (3)

Won over 1400m at Belmont last start. Place chance.

15. Lyrical Angel (10)

Lightly-raced filly with upside.

16. Petrouchka (9)

Comes off a 2.5 length maiden win over 1400m at Northam. In the mix.

17. Ihtsaking (15)

Emergency runner. Broke his maiden over 1600m at Northam on 3rd June. Unlikely.
