Lekvarte goes on top after getting the job done for us last start as best bet. Concede it got the perfect ride and rails run but it was very strong through the line and should relish the rise in trip. Albeit, will need some luck from the wide draw and especially at Gosford. Nothinsweetaboutme should be landing on the speed and will take some running down while Ella Te Ama is on the upward spiral and should be hard to beat in this field. Original favourite Ausbred Flirt ran on the weekend and has been scratched for this race. The tempo should be solid.

Prefer in easier.

2. Ruby Tuesday (8)

Has come back well and has been nicely tried in early markets. Suited by good footing and would just need to replicate the first up performance to be going close to taking this out.

3. French Bonnet (1)

No jockey booked and may be scratched. Map looks tricky for French Bonnet who usually settles off the speed. It can be hard to catch but its best efforts can give this a shake.

4. Nothinsweetaboutme (11)

Should land on the speed and give a nice kick. Strong second up record, has won with Bayliss aboard and the amount of early pressure and getting across from the draw is vital to its chances. Good hope.

5. Lovely Esteem (4)

Up in grade but respecting the Waller placement here. Kmac one of the best jockeys to grace the land but simply couldn’t back him lately. Prefer others.

6. Our Modena (16)

Charged through to win last start and only needs to replicate that to give this a shake. That looked a strong form race and expecting that to hold up here.

7. Sweet Ruby (5)

Comes through the same race as Our Modena. Was well backed in early markets, looked a bit squeezed for room but eventually had its chance up the rails and couldn’t run them down. Can improve with some more clean air, chance.

8. Saigon (15)

Prefer others.

9. Deny Knowledge (2)

Keep an eye on the markets. Love the form around My Whisper in open company last start and 2 runs back just missed out on picking up the airborne Savannah Cloud. Great hope.

10. Thalassophile (6)

Classy mare who didn’t get much luck last run but still boxed on well. Drawn nicely and Ford hops aboard, query here is whether it wants some give in the ground but definite chance against these.

11. Ella Te Ama (9)

Racing in good fashion and was a nice win last start. The ever in form Dylan Gibbons steers and with even luck from the barrier it will be hard to hold out. Top 2 hope.

12. Burning Need (12)

Prefer others.

13. Lekvarte (14)

Have lekvarte on top but concede it got the dream run last start along the rails and isn’t likely to get that here. Has to negate Wyong and the wide draw but the 1600 should suit and it is the best horse in this race. Big hope with luck.

14. Kouklara (3)

Flew home and just missed last start, this is a harder race on paper but it should get a suck run from the draw and looks well placed with the nice map. Chance.

15e. Ausbred Flirt (10)  – SCRATCHED

16e. Chenin (7)

Comes out of the same race as Kouklara, whether that is the right form for this remains a query but Chenin is a consistent operator and should be around the mark as usual. Place chance.
