Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Inspirational Girl (Belmont Race 8 No. 8)
With a record of 5 wins and a place from 6 starts, this mare is well above average. At the end of last campaign she ran on strongly for a 0.3 length win over 1600m at Ascot on 22 February. She resumed with a 1.5 length win over 1400m at Belmont on 11 July. She has won both of her second-up starts, and there is no reason she can’t win again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Devoted Star (Belmont Race 9 No. 9):
This Al Maher mare took over late and won by more than a length over 1000m at Belmont on 27 June. Next start she misbehaved at the barriers and finished 7.8 lengths 10th over 1200m at Belmont on 11 July where she was found to be lame, so that run needs to be dismissed. She is a solid performer with 3 wins and 2 places from 8 starts and is worth an each-way bet.

Sir Mambo (Belmont Race 2 No.1):
This War Chant gelding is favourite in this 1000m race. He ran 2nd over 1200m at Belmont on 20 June, then 3.5 length 6th over 1200m at Belmoont on 4 July. He has 61.5 kg and even with the 3kg claim is still carrying more than any other horse in the field. No value here.
